MY STORY
16. June, 1999.
Zvecan, Kosovo
Home
The huge round table dominated the space with favorite chairs for father and mother, young sister and me. At each place stood a tall empty glass for juice, plate with food and folded white napkins. That night in our house was elegant, proud and warm. You could taste freedom and relief in the air. Finally we left basement. That was first dinner, after 3 months of NATO bombing, in our house. But telephone decided to ring. My young sister pick up the phone and very fast pass to my father.
Next morning we put all our life in one white golf and small truck. We even didn't have opportunity to say goodby to our friends. War was over for politicians, but new one was born for us!
„Guys, we also didn't expect. That is the life and somethime we have to make hard decision. This is best for us. It's normal to be said, but we will make good fun this summer. You will find new friends. Don't worry. Grandmother and grandfather wait for you.“
