Waiting for flight..

Place: Zurich airport.

Bench. Lap top and.. I have to share with you what came in my mind.

Our responsibility is to create 21st century environment with equal opportunity and same counditions for women and men. The most natural human feature is diversity. With this in mind we can say that each person on the world has their own identity.

Let me exemplify this proposition with twins. They grow up in the same conditions. Same family, school, teachers, community and so on. And they always have different behavior. Why? My point of view is that we can put the same shoes and walk through same street and hills but we can’t see the same things and we can’t make the same choices. Our glasses have different perspective and we have rights to feel different pain and happiness. Yes, we have RIGHTS to make own mistakes.

This brings up to the question of: Do we all have an equal opportunity? Are the rules the same for everyone?

Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2014 asserted that “a girl has the means to forge ahead in life. It is not only a mother, but also it is not only a sister, but also but also it is not only a wife. She has to have an identity“. That is a reason why is “Connecting people” part of Training Course on Challenging Stereotypes and Identities to promote Gender Equality North-South Centre of the Council of Europe – 1-8 May in organization The Mediterranean University on Youth and Global Citizenship (MedUni).

It will be a great honor for me to represent “Connecting” and develop collaborative projects with 20 young leaders in next 7 days.
